A Large powerful 6.8 magnitude earthquake off the Japanese coastline near Tokyo has sparked fear of a possible tsunami
The NOAA now advises there is no active threat to any US coastlines After the following large M6.8 Tokyo earthquake 

A earthquake strikes off Japan's northeastern coast, but no tsunami warning is issued, Japanese and US authorities say, with no immediate reports of damage. 

There is no tsunami threat to the Philippines following the 6.8-magnitude earthquake that hit the east coast of Honshu, Japan
