Police are responding to a Active shooter situation at a Safeway shopping Center .Right now Multiple authorities and emergency crews are responding to to an active shooter situation at a Safeway Shopping Center with reports of multiple shots fired.  medics rushed to the Safeway at the Forum Shopping Center in northeast Bend this evening on reports of an active-shooter situation with one or two gunmen and possibly multiple victims. We have crews at the scene/on the way..  Ebc is reporting that multiple Police and medics have rushed to the Safeway at the Forum Shopping Center in northeast Bend this evening on reports of an active-shooter situation with one or two gunmen and possibly multiple victims.  There are confirmed reports of shots fired at The Forum Shopping Center. There are no confirmations of injuries at this time. 

Mass shooting injured 8 people in Portland, Oregon. A mass shooting in downtown Portland victimized at least eight people. Police have no information about the suspect or suspects. At least five POWERFUL earthquakes were reported in coast of Oregon Magnitude-5.9 earthquake struck off the coast of Oregon early Friday, and aftershocks included another 5.9 quake USGS says no threat of a tsunami or damage to the coast.  FIVE earthquakes, three of which were above M4.0, occurred off the Oregon coast last night, with two M5.9 quakes felt around 1:00 AM. No tsunami threats were recorded.  A second one 30 minutes later USGS have 5.9 for both. 2 looks a little bigger to me but you need to average over many stations to get a  magnitude estimate.  These earthquakes were located in the "Blanco Fracture Zone" Earthquakes are very common in the region although two M 5.9 quakes are not. As always, we never know when a quake will occur.
