A glacier burst in an area close to the Niti valley in Uttarakhand’s Chamoli district on Friday resulted in an avalanche, killing at least eight people.

Nearly 384 people who were working at a Border Roads Organisation camp were rescued.Glacier breakdown has been reported in Sumna village Joshimath on the road connecting the India-China border. It is being told that this glacier is broken due to heavy snowfall. The contact has been cut since the glacier broke. glacier has burst near Indian state Uttarakhand's Joshimath on the India-China border The last glacier burst in Uttarakhand in February had killed at least 150 people.
