Eight lions at Hyderabad’s Nehru Zoological Park have tested positive for the deadly coronavirus, perhaps the first known case of the human infecting the feline and making them sick in india.

8 lions housed in Hyderabad zoo have tested positive for corona virus They've been isolated, responding well to treatment, behaving and eating normally. Preventive measures in place for staffers and zoo closed to visitors. 

Based on experience with zoo animals elsewhere in the world that have experienced SARS-COV2 positive last year, there is no factual evidence that animals can transmit the disease to humans any further: Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change
