India reported 1,65,553 new COVID-19 cases and 3,460 deaths in the last 24 hours

India reported 1,65,553 new COVID-19 cases and 3,460 deaths in the last 24 hours, according to the Union Health Ministry. The total tally of cases is now 2,78,94,800

India, battling a second wave, today reported the lowest number of new COVID19 cases since 13 April. Over 1.65 lakh new cases were reported in the last 24 hours.

The Centre government has asked states and UTs to initiate legal or administrative action against hospitals which are tying up with hotels for COVID19 vaccination.

COVID19 Vaccination Status As on 29th May, 2021 India's Cumulative Vaccination Coverage exceeds 21.18 Crores (21,18,39,768) 

1st Dose: 16.74 Crores (16,74,10,625) 

2nd Dose: 4.44 Crores (4,44,29,143)

Nearly 12 Crore Doses will be available for National COVID Vaccination for month of June 2021 Advance visibility of Vaccines for the entire month of June 2021 provided to States/UTs by Union Health Ministry
