Heavy rain cause waterlogging and flooding of low-lying areas have now become a common affair for Mumbai during monsoon season.Mumbai may surpass the monthly June average of rain by end of this rain spell.

The plane had 5 people on board including the crew and a patient. The plane landed on a foam carpet which prevented it from catching fire. A full emergency was declared for a non-scheduled Beechcraft VT-JIL aircraft on route from Nagpur to Mumbai. The flight carrying 02 crew member, 01 patient, 01 relative and 01 doctor did a belly-landing at Mumbai Airport. All passengers were evacuated safely.
