Massive fire and Multiple explosions and one  evacuation from Chemtool of Rockton 

Multiple area fire departments were called to Prairie Hill Road in Rockton for reports of smoke showing at Chemtool Incorporated. Some neighbors reported hearing small explosions s the fire burns with smoke being seen for miles.

Evacuations underway in Illinois following explosion at Chemtool Chemical Plant A full-scale evacuation is underway as deadly fumes are sent into the air. Chemtool makes and distributes a wide variety of chemicals.Explosions are continuing to occur.

The company manufactures fluids, lubricants and grease products which are distributed worldwide. This fire will take a long time to get put out. 


Firefighters are on the scene of a four-alarm fire at Chemtool in Rockton. Anyone within a mile of the plant is being evacuated. Emergency crews are responding to a massive fire at the Chemtool Incorporated chemical plant in Rockton, Illinois.

The plane had 5 people on board including the crew and a patient. The plane landed on a foam carpet which prevented it from catching fire. A full emergency was declared for a non-scheduled Beechcraft VT-JIL aircraft on route from Nagpur to Mumbai. The flight carrying 02 crew member, 01 patient, 01 relative and 01 doctor did a belly-landing at Mumbai Airport. All passengers were evacuated safely.
