Syria's state news agency has confirmed an attack today on a U.S. base near Omar oil field in Syria in retaliation for U.S. airstrikes overnight targeting Iran-backed militias.

Rockets fired by Iranian-backed militiamen targeting the al-Omar oilfield in eastern Deir Ez-Zor a short time ago. The attack is likely in retaliation to US airstrikes against Hashd bases that resulted in the deaths of four militants.

Iranian-backed forces reportedly shelling the American base at Omar Oil Field in Deir ez Zor. Working to confirm.Currently no American casualties at the base but there is a fire currently burning from material damage.

Movement of militias in Mayadin is noted and more fire is expected. American aircraft are active in the vicinity of Omar Oil Field after Iranian-backed militiamen shelled the American base located there.

American jets heard near Hasakah flying towards Deir ez Zor.American drones are in the air. Reports of airstrikes by the Americans are denied by Local to me told me he heard explosions but that could be sonic booms.
