Naftali Bennett, a former ally of Netanyahu, has been sworn in as prime minister. Bennett will preside over a fragile coalition of eight parties with deep ideological differences. Netanyahu remains head of the Likud party and becomes opposition leader. 

NaftaliBennett the leader of the right-wing Yamina party, has become Israel's new prime minister, unseating the country's longest-serving head of government Benjamin Netanyahu, who had been in office since 2009.
