Putin statement on incident with British warship, saying even if Russia had sunk it, world wouldn't have been on brink of war because everyone knows WW3 is unwinnable. What worries him, Putin says, is foreign military presence on Ukrainian territory.. 

Putin says Why was there a provocation.To show disrespect for the choice of Crimeans. Even if we sunk this ship, it is difficult to imagine the world on the threshold of the Third World War. Because these people know that they cannot emerge victorious from this war 

We know what we are fighting for. For your future, for your territory. We were not the ones who approached their territory. They entered our territorial waters
