Three tornados have touched down in Battle Creek, Lansing, and Michigan

Several tornados have touched down in Battle Creek, Lansing, and S Belding, Michigan. Michigan State University is under an Emergency Watch, each tornado may cause widespread damage.

People are moving to shelter as a confirmed tornado moves south of the campus This is a life threatening event due population density in the area. Sirens are now sounding
Numerous tornado warnings across south-central Lower Michigan with convective line and embedded circulations. Most dangerous storm is located just SW of Perry MI as of 620 pm

A line of strong to severe storms is advancing across Lower Michigan and is capable of producing tornadoes. A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 10pm for much of Southeast Michigan. Stay weather aware and take shelter if a Tornado Warning is issued for your area.

Thunderstorms will move into NW central Indiana from the west over the next few hours. Lightning and locally heavy rain is expected, with strong to severe winds possible. An isolated tornado cannot be ruled out.
