London :-A person has been stabbed to death in Woolwich this evening. Labour-run Greenwich has one of the highest rates of knife crime and homicide in London

Armed police in attendance and Tesco evacuated. Just seen an air ambulance hovering over Woolwich, apparently attending a stabbing. 

Greenwich has one of the worst homicide rates in London and teen homicides are at an 11 year high all on Sadiq Khan’s 

Woolwich New Road is closed between Grand Depot Road annd Thomas Street following a Police incident. Buses 15 bus routes are on diversion. 

There as been Fatal Stabbing in the area of Woolwich Greenwich this evening that would make it the 7th Fatal Stabbing in that area this year so far.The highest London borough for Fatal Stabbing so far this year.

London police said Officers are at the scene of a fatal stabbing on Woolwich New Road. A crime scene remains in place. At this early stage there have been no arrests. Please call 101
