Mass shooting reported in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania


First arriving officer on scene confirms a Man has been shot in the chest. CPR is currently in progress.additional units are now responding. Additional officers requested to East Mount Airy section

Police responding to a confirmed mass shooting in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Police and EMS personnel are enroute to a shooting with more than victims. The shooter is believed to have fled northbound.

Philadelphia 911 has received several calls on this. At least One man killed and several others were wounded and hospitalized in two separate shooting in Philadelphia. The first shooting erupted in the East Mount Airy section shortly before 3 p.m, killing one and injuring four others. No one has been apprehended or charged.

Investigators had little immediate information on the shooting in the 7700 block of Ogontz Avenue. It occurred as the number of people killed and injured in shootings of four or more victims spiked in Philadelphia this year, helping to push the homicide count to a record high.
