Massive rain and landslides in and around the Tokyo metropolitan area, Atami area, Shizuoka,Japan


Heavy rain and major landslides are reported in Atami, 65 miles west of Tokyo. At least 20 people are missing, and the Self Defence Forces to be deployed for search and rescue.

Upper mountain of Izusan, Atami city where the landslide occurred is under construction for a Mega Solar Power Plant, so it seems that it's the cause of landslide.

landslides are reported in Atami, 65 miles west of Tokyo. About 20 people are missing after a landslide swept away homes in Atami city.
