Tornado watch and Hurricane warning issued for Florida as Tropical Storm Elsa approaches



Tornado watches in effect until 11PM tonight for our southern counties Osceola and Polk counties. With Elsa pushing north this evening we are on the front right quadrant of the storm and could see some rolling ups. 

Latest NHC update is now showing a small chance of hurricane force winds on the florida coast. So Tropical Storm Elsa may become HurricaneElsa within the next 24 hours. 

Elsa is also showing more organisation on satellite which is a sign that the storm is strengthening.Cities between Tallahassee and Tampa are urged to prepare as Elsa picks up strength.Tampa International Airport will close in the coming hours.

Hurricane warnings have been issued for portions of coastal Florida as Elsa is now expected to have a category 1, 75mph landfall tomorrow. 

Residents along the coast should be rushing preparations to completion and prepare for strong surge, flooding rain, and damaging winds.
