UK has recorded its highest ever daily Covid cases


UK reports 51,870 new coronavirus cases, the biggest one-day increase since January, and 49 new deaths

Total 51,870 cases of Covid-19 have been reported across the UK in the latest 24 hour period, the highest daily figure since 15 January. A further 49 people have died within 28 days of testing positive, taking the total to 128,642.

New 263,574 Covid vaccinations have been reported across the UK. More than 46.1 million people 87.6% of adults have now had at least one dose. More than 35.5 million 67.5% of adults have had two doses.

UK government signals it will keep restrictions on overseas travel in place for now to control a surge in coronavirus infections and the risk of new variants of the virus taking hold

The plane had 5 people on board including the crew and a patient. The plane landed on a foam carpet which prevented it from catching fire. A full emergency was declared for a non-scheduled Beechcraft VT-JIL aircraft on route from Nagpur to Mumbai. The flight carrying 02 crew member, 01 patient, 01 relative and 01 doctor did a belly-landing at Mumbai Airport. All passengers were evacuated safely.
