Dutch officials say 13 of the 61 air passengers who tested for positive for Covid-19 after arriving in the Netherlands from South Africa were infected with the Omicron variant, but testing is still going on and the variant may be found in more test samples.

OMICRON Despite global travel bans, tightened restrictions, It’s spreading. Australia joins list of countries infected with Omicron. Italy, Czech Republic and UK also with new cases, while testing still underway to determine the 60+ covid passengers in the Netherlands

The Dutch health institute has reported 13 new cases of the Omicron COVID variant in the Netherlands.All of the people who tested positive for the variant were passengers on flights from South Africa earlier this week, it has been confirmed.
