A 6.3 magnitude earthquake shakes part of Alaska



A 6.3 magnitude earthquake shook Alaska earlier today. The quake was located east of Port Alsworth at a depth of 114 km, according to the USGS.

Details released by the USGS indicate that the quake struck at a depth of 114 kilometers at a distance of just 66 kilometers east of Port Alsworth, Alaska. Initial readings of the the quake came in at a magnitude 6.3  quake.
