28 of 98 Train cars derailed at Wilbarger County near Oklaunion.


Multiple agencies are responding to a Train derailment Fire.BNSF Railway told to sister station in Wichita Falls that 28 of the 98 train cars derailed at around 10:00 a.m. Saturday in Wilbarger County near Oklaunion. The derailed cars on fire were carrying ethanol.

Multiple emergency crews are currently at the sence due to a Train derailment as 30 train cars carrying denatured alcohol are currently on fire so far no injuries have been reported 

According to an initial report from the Texas Division of Emergency Management, the derailment is near Oklaunion, east of Vernon off of US 287. The derailment is under one of the overpasses, impacting US 287.

At 11:40 am Fire crews got a 9/11 call of a Train Derailment When Fire Crews arrived on the scene about 30 train cars carrying denatured alcohol caught on fire At 2:43 pm Police have shut down Highway 287 near Oklaunion Texas.
