Major fire broke out in the South African parliament building in Cape Town



SouthAfrica:- A major fire broke out in the South African parliament building in Cape Town on Sunday There was no indication of what may have started the fire.

Spokesman for emergency services says The roof has caught fire and the National Assembly building is also on fire spokesman for emergency services says 

South African Minister of Public Works says crews have situation under control at Houses of Parliament in Cape Town after fire broke out in Old Assembly building 

According to the spokesperson for the City of Cape Town's Fire and Rescue Service Jermaine Carelse, various crews from different fire stations arrived at the scene to contain the blaze. 

The Roof is even melting, an indication of the intense heat. There have been reports of some walls showing cracks, which could indicate a collapse

Firefighters battled a blaze at SouthAfrica’s national Parliament complex  that sent a dark plume of smoke and flames into the air above the center of Cape Town.
