Massive snowstorm hits Pakistan’s Murree, 22 tourists stranded in cars freeze to death.



At least 22 people died on Saturday when their cars became stuck on snow-covered roads leading to a tourist town outside Islamabad, Pakistan’s capital. Soldiers rescued people from at least 24,000 vehicles stranded by heavy snow

Pakistan Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid says the military has mobilized to clear roads and rescue thousands still trapped near Murree after at least 21 died in vehicles trapped by SnowStorm 

Government deploys Pakistan Army, civil-armed forces to evacuate tourists from Murree

Thousands of tourists were left stranded as routes to Malka-e-Kohsar closed due to 

Around 125,000 vehicles enter the city so far,due to which severe traffic jam was witnessed

All the routes in Murree were blocked after thousands of vehicles entered the city,leaving the tourists helpless  

Pakistan Army troops busy evacuating stranded people in SnowStorm. Manually clearing roads where machinery can not be accessed.
