Death Toll From Heavy Rainfalls in Brazil Increases to 152



Death toll from devastating mudslides and floods that swept through a mountainous region of Rio de Janeiro state has reached , authorities in Brazil say. The city of Petropolis was slammed by a deluge on Tuesday.

At least 152 people have died and hundreds left homeless after devastating mudslides and floods swept through a mountainous region of Brazil’s Rio de Janeiro state.21 people have been recovered alive so far during rescue efforts in Petropolis 

A record 258.8 mm of rainfall fell in the town of Petrópolis north of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, according to local media Resulting flash floods have claimed more than more lives, .
