London Fire Brigade declares major incident due to number of incidents through StormEunice



London Fire Brigade has declared a major incident in response to the volume of 999 calls being taken about Storm Eunice.

According to fire brigade statement We have declared a major incident in response to the volume of 999 calls being taken about StormEunice related incidents. Firefighters are still meeting the needs of our communities, but declaring a major incident allows us to focus our resources. 

Our Control Officers are taking lots of weather related calls including a TV aerial in a precarious position, a tree fallen onto a house and a bike shed blown across a pathway. Please secure all loose items on and around your property and be WeatherReady StormEunice 

Firefighters have attended the O2 this afternoon after the canvas roof came loose in high winds StormEunice There has been no structural damage to the building
