Taiwan Fires Warning Shots as PLA's Drone Approaches Toward KinmenIslands


Taiwan's defense ministry said it fired warning shots to repel a drone deployed by China that kept revolving near the airspace in the outlying Kinmen island.

The reported incident comes after weeks of escalating tensions between Beijing and Taipei in the wake of US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's controversial visit Taiwan Fires Warning Shots as PLA's Drone Approaches Toward KinmenIslands. 

China watchers in US are surprised at the muted response of Beijing to two US warships crossing the Taiwan Strait at the height of tensions.

Beijing which reacted angrily to Nancy Pelosi visit to the island nation, said two cruisers are "no actual threat to China's security.

Xi doesn't want a House and Senate that may enact legislation that more strongly supports Taiwan
