In a tense turn of events, Times Square in New York City has been evacuated after an Uber driver discovered a grenade in the backseat of their vehicle. The alarming discovery occurred in Midtown Manhattan, specifically at the intersection of 42nd Street and 7th Avenue.

The Uber driver, upon dropping off a passenger, glanced into the backseat and spotted the explosive device, prompting an immediate call to the police. The New York Police Department swiftly responded, deploying both the Emergency Services Unit and the Bomb Squad to the scene to assess and handle the situation.

Adding to the chaos, anti-Israel protestors were marching through the streets, causing traffic disruptions in the vicinity at the time of the emergency.
